Business Analyst – Makati City, Philippines

The Business Analyst will be working in conjunction with Product Owners and a variety of stakeholders across the business with the objective of understanding, and influencing, how to apply digital business transformation tools and techniques to resolve specific obstacles to operational scale which the business currently faces. In this role, the Business Analyst will support the Senior Business Analyst to lead business process development and optimisation activities, driving the application of innovative and enabling technologies to deliver measurable advances in operational scale across all facets of the payroll business. 
 
Experience of writing business requirement documents, stakeholder management and strong interpersonal skills. Creating good relationship with the business is key in this role as well as experience of working in both Waterfall and Agile environments. There is significant drive towards process automation where it doesn’t currently exist – so anyone with experience of this would be highly beneficial but not essential.
 

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and analyse where the business requires new applications and / or functionality improvements, document and outline challenges, their impacts, and the benefits of initiating a change in the application or process.
  • Support the delivery of change by working closely with Product Owners and internal customers to identify, record and track requirements, including identifying and resolving any conflicts between them.
  • Defining and documenting business solution designs that incorporate the ‘to be’ business processes to support business readiness and delivery including testing and training activities
  • Be a proactive change advocate, assisting the business users along the change journey whilst managing their expectations and mentoring them in what is possible.
  • Liaise and align with the Data Team to ensure overall design incorporates relevant data elements
  • Work closely with the Testing Team to ensure User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of requirements, and solutions supplied, are rapid and effective.

Attributes and Experience Required:

  • This role requires strong traditional business analysis experience, alongside current experience within digitally enabled business process transformation projects (specific examples expected)
  • Solid experience in gathering, vetting, and optimising business systems requirements, as informed by specific business processes.  A strong understanding of business process improvement; ability to define new processes, capture existing and re-engineer processes.
  • Practical experience with structured continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean 6-Sigma, SDLC’s such as Agile & Waterfall, as well as Lean Project Management exposure in previous roles are all a must.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to support the building of effective relationships both with technical and business partners across all levels of reporting, from the C-Suite to team members
  • Ability to challenge current practice and provide possible solution options for consideration
