French Payroll Specialist – Niort, France – Remote

The French Payroll Specialist is responsible for the entire payroll cycle. The Payroll Specialist will ensure the accuracy of payroll and payroll-related information following all established statutory requirements and manage the payroll process.

The ideal candidate is strongly oriented to high-quality in data and results. An accurate communication with clients and with the internal operations team should be performed according to the internal procedures.

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage all payroll activities in line with the monthly payroll calendar and submit the payroll figures every month.
  • Ensure the payrolls comply with the French legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Ability to reconcile pre-processing reports to ensure accuracy of information prior to processing payroll.
  • Research discrepancies of payroll information and / or documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing.
  • Validation of the payroll outputs
  • Maintain payroll information, files, and records to provide up to date reference and audit trail for compliance.
  • Analyze payroll related information to ensure accurate distribution of funds and payroll.
  • Prepare the monthly payroll reports and upload them to CP platform
  • Collaborate with Implementation team to ensure that the hangover of new payrolls is transferred to In-House team successfully.

Attributes and Experience Required:

  • English and French speaking is essential. English level: B2
  • Expert level of knowledge of local legal requirements, statutory forms, and reporting
  • Expert level in complex payrolls (BIK, stock options/RSU, non-residents, court order…)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll processing
  • Knowledge of TeamsRH software would be advantageous
  • International payroll experience would be beneficial
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Business software experience required: Excel, Word, Email Apps, Microsoft Apps
  • Team player with ability to share information and interact positively with others.
  • Good decision-making skills and forward thinking, able to plan and organize own workload
