Product Communications Manager – Budapest, Hungary – Hybrid

As Product Communications Manager you will be a critical part of the Product team, helping us shape and tell our story to the business and communicate what we are doing within Product and externally clearly and more effectively.

You will be responsible for developing and executing suitable guidelines and approaches for all product content, and work with the wider Product team to ensure they are adopted and adhered to. You will work closely with functions across the business including Marketing & Internal Communications to maximise opportunities to share our progress and our thinking.

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include:
• Design, implement and manage the overall communication and content approach* and plan for the Product organization. Use your knowledge and research of industry standards and best practice approaches to create the structure and governance for communications to ensure consistency and alignment. Create standardised processes, templates and guidelines at all levels of communication from top level strategic initiatives to product level outputs such as release notes.
• Ownership of Product Story and Communication Structure:* Working with the Product Management team craft and maintain the overarching product story. Ensure seamless integration of the product story into all internal and external communications, including updates, meetings, and documentation, to reinforce the value proposition of the products and their impact on operations.
• Engagement with Stakeholders:* Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including both internal teams and external parties such as customers, partners, and industry analysts, to communicate product updates, roadmap milestones, and strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with their needs and expectations.
• Product Roadmap Communication:* Develop a comprehensive plan for maintaining and communicating the overall product roadmap to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic objectives.
• Design, develop & implement communications guidelines* for the Product team across the product lifecycle ensuring adoption and best practices to facilitate structured and effective communication while maintaining consistency and quality across all communication channels.
• Understanding of product strategy, updates, and priorities, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. Provide support to product teams, empowering them to create and deliver their own communications.
• Governance and Oversight of Communication Processes:* Oversee the implementation of communication processes and standards, ensuring adherence and providing guidance and feedback as needed to optimize communication effectiveness and efficiency.
• Measurement and Optimization of Communication Efforts:* Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of communication efforts. Constantly monitor internal feedback and insights, and industry standards and best practice to continuously optimize strategies and processes to drive operational excellence

Attributes and Experience Required:
• Ideally degree level qualified or equivalent
• Experience of developing content and communications frameworks, plans and initiatives ideally within a product focused environment.
• Previous experience in Product Management or Product Marketing with an understanding of the product lifecycle would be an advantage.
• A good understanding of the role of Product Operations including process optimisation and continuous improvement efforts across product development, release management and operational support is preferable.
• Highly literate with excellent English language verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts clearly and simply.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to set direction, collaborate with and influence others across the organization including Marketing, Product Management, Engineering and Technology teams to ensure effective on-time delivery.
