Workday Rising US 2024: How to make the most of this year’s event

Emma Streatfield CRO CloudPay circle

Next week, the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in vibrant Las Vegas, Nevada will be buzzing with innovation, learning, and networking opportunities for Workday Rising US 2024. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned attendee, you’ll want to ensure you’re prepared to enjoy everything the event has to offer.

Drawing on her wealth of experience from past Workday Rising events as well as preparation and excitement for this year, Emma Streatfield, Chief Revenue Officer at CloudPay, shares her top tips for making the most of every moment next week.

Our top 5 tips for Workday Rising US 2024

1. Take part in the Braindates

Braindates are in-person 30-minute networking sessions at Workday Rising where you can connect one-on-one with Workday customers, experts, and partners to discuss specific topics or challenges.

These are a great way of connecting with people who have a shared interest in a subject. You can choose from the topics available, or even better, pose a Braindate topic yourself.

2. Don’t miss Michelle Obama’s Welcome Keynote Conversation

The opening event this year is none other than former First Lady, Michelle Obama. She’ll be taking center-stage for a conversation about empowerment, leadership, and resilience.

During her time in the White House, Mrs. Obama often used her platform to advocate for flexible workplace policies, from work-life balance, to sick leave legislation – even talking candidly about her own experience taking her baby daughter to a job interview after losing her babysitter. Few high-profile public figures could be more suitable to kick off proceedings at Workday Rising US.

Amongst other guests and speakers, singer Gwen Stefani will also be closing the event as headliner for the Customer Appreciation Party. But more importantly…

3. Don’t miss CloudPay’s Workday Rising sponsor session [SPTS2292]

4. Use every learning opportunity

Every year, there are different “hot topics” that are the talk of the event. Last year, AI and machine learning developments were a huge focal point and Workday Rising did an excellent job of providing a variety of perspectives on this topic.

Considering recent announcements, it’s likely there will be a lot of discussion around Workday’s revolutionary API-driven integrations and how they can best be used to access and control global payroll data.

Use every opportunity to educate yourself on the latest functionality, industry insights, and talking points in an informal setting. You’ll be learning a tremendous amount before you even realise it.

5. Bring lots of water and a power pack

You’ll want to stay energized throughout Workday Rising, so keeping a bottle of water with you is a must. Plus, with so much to explore and so many sessions to absorb, keeping your devices juiced up will ensure you’re ready for networking, taking notes, or snapping those must-see moments. Be prepared, stay powered, and make the most of every opportunity.
