Integrating data from Workday has traditionally been driven by PECI (Payroll Effective Change Interface) and we will continue to benefit from the data this provides. But the introduction of these new integrations enables us to leverage modern integration technology to provide real-time data transfer and a simplified, unified user experience.

Additional Payroll Data

Transforming local payroll information submission

The Additional Payroll Data API allows employees and payroll professionals to submit country-specific payroll information not natively stored in Workday to CloudPay, without leaving the Workday platform. CloudPay defines and maintains the fields for each country and the solution requires minimum effort from customers to set up. This integration supplements a customer’s existing PECI integration providing several key benefits:

• No more manual templates, Local Payroll Information can be integrated from Workday, removing the need to submit manual XLS templates, improving on the efficiency in which employee data is supplied.
• Real-time data transfer, Instantaneous updates ensure that payroll information is always current and available for processing as soon as it is needed.
• Validation before submission: Input validations ensure that mandatory fields are highlighted before the data is submitted meaning required data does not get missed.
• Employee self-service: Employees can enter their own LPI data, removing the need for manual processes to collect this information on the employee’s behalf.

By utilizing this API, CloudPay enhances the efficiency and reliability of payroll processing, ensuring that employees’ payroll information is always accurate and up to date. This improvement reduces the administrative burden on payroll teams, improving overall efficiency.

Global Payroll Hub

 Real-time 3rd party payroll visibility in Workday

The Global Payroll Hub API offers real-time workflow status, insightful delivery analytics, and one-click access to CloudPay’s payroll run workflow directly within Workday. Providing a joined-up experience between Workday and CloudPay empowers payroll teams with the tools needed to ensure seamless payroll runs through:

• Enhanced visibility, Payroll teams can monitor every aspect of the payroll run in real-time, allowing prompt issue and action identification.
• Actionable insights, Detailed insights enable teams to make informed decisions, improving efficiencies and highlighting discrepancies.

It doesn’t stop there. Workday are expanding their integration offering further by adding the Data Changes on Demand API to the line-up.

This will be a game-changer for real-time data transfer. Unlike PECI, which requires scheduled data transfers, this API enables on-demand, real-time transfer of core HR information and payroll data, including earnings, deductions, and payment elections. Key benefits include:

• Instant data updates: Real-time data transfer ensures that payroll information is always current, reducing delays and discrepancies.
• Improved accuracy: Continuous data updates minimize the risk of errors, ensuring payroll calculations are based on the most up-to-date information.
